Audio Entrainment

The conscious use of sound for well-being has a long history (Aboriginal didgeridoo, Tibetan singing bowls, Native American flutes, tribal drums, Gregorian chants; all used as powerful tools for transformation). Modern neuroscience has shown that audio stimulation enhances learning, memory and creativity.

“Feel” the BEATS!

Acoustic

Beats

The basic form of audio stimulation is acoustic beats. Acoustic beats are created when 2 clear tones of slightly different pitch are played together. Acoustic beats are typically used binaurally or monaurally.

Binaural

Beats

Stereo headphones play different high frequencies that people hear in both ears. The difference between these frequencies is called the target frequency. For example: You want to synchronize your brain to 7 Hz – left ear 207 Hz and right ear 200 Hz = 7 Hz!

Monaural

Beats

Two tones with the same intensity but different pulse patterns – the human ear perceives only one beat. Sounds from monaural beats can be heard without headphones, but the efficiency is higher with headphones.

Isochronic

Beats

Unlike binaural and monaural beats, isochronous beats do not require two separate tones to create a beat. A single tone is created with even ON-OFF wave patterns:

  • Sine wave – smooth
  • Square wave – harsh
  • Sawtooth – full impulse package including harmonics
